PLAN ADJUST Monitor WORK

PLAN

Planning is the critical work that sets the stage for success. We begin with an annual consultative meeting to collect information, discover emerging pain points, and actively respond to questions and concerns.

ADJUST

Businesses evolve. Employees come and go. Families grow, and individuals grow older. Legislation shifts and changes. Insurance carriers innovate. Nothing stays the same.

Monitor

Monitor isn’t a phase in the AEB process, it’s a standard ongoing operation. We pay attention to what works well, we notice the areas of confusion, and we take notes. Others may say they listen to employees, but AEB staff actively engages in conversations all year long. This allows us to discover even the little ways we can make the benefits better.

WORK

This is the tactical aspect of AEB’s process that implements the customized plan designs for each business. It begins with annual customized presentation directly to our clients’ employees that kicks off the open enrollment period.

Planning is the critical work that sets the stage for success. We begin with an annual consultative meeting to collect information, discover emerging pain points, and actively respond to questions and concerns.

Our takeaways enable us to design the best employee benefits plan and to structure the premiums for the best overall fit. This also provides us with key insights into the educations and tools that will provide the best overall service throughout the year.

Consultation happens three to six months in advance of the renewal. The timing is critical so that our plan designs are up-to-date with the latest industry information and still able to roll out for the open enrollment window.

Work

This is the tactical aspect of AEB’s process that implements the customized plan designs for each business. It begins with annual customized presentation directly to our clients’ employees that kicks off the open enrollment period.

Open enrollment is the universal and specific period of October – early December during which individuals and employees can enroll in or make changes to their health insurance plans. This allows people to select new plans, make modifications to their existing coverage, or enroll in insurance if they were previously uninsured. It’s a window of opportunity for individuals to review their coverage options and make decisions that suit their healthcare needs and financial situations.

AEB presents the benefits plan that our client has chosen. We compare and contrast the options in a live presentation and directly answer individual concerns to help employees make the best choices.

Early in this phase, AEB records the live presentation and consolidates all of the relevant information into easy printable or online references for the employees. Each employee is emailed a personal link to a secure online portal for selection and management of their benefits all year long.

As employees submit their choices, AEB processes the selections and submits them to the carriers. However, this is just the beginning.

Throughout the year, AEB is on-call to meet with new hires. We make sure they get the same focused attention to make selections that elevate their customary benefits to a true value-add perk of their new job.

Employees call us first when coverage is unclear, or when carrier bureaucracy becomes confusing. We know the lingo and the rules so we can help make their entire experience easier.

Adjust

Businesses evolve. Employees come and go. Families grow, and individuals grow older. Legislation shifts and changes. Insurance carriers innovate. Nothing stays the same.

Throughout the year, AEB staff aggressively follows, researches, and educates ourselves and our clients. We adjust in little ways all year long. We’re always listening to our clients, but also listening to legislative updates and changes in the market and constantly evaluating to ensure we’re best meeting our client’s needs.

When it comes time for our clients to make decisions for the next year, AEB has the best information to guide them to their best choices.  Our detailed analysis is followed by a meaningful conversation about all the changes that may impact their choices. The result routinely leads to small adjustments that our clients love. Sometimes, we identify needs requiring larger changes, like moving to different carriers or swapping options that better fit the current workforce.

Our expertise allows this to be the best and easiest experience possible so our clients can get back to their daily business.

  • AEB maintains constant communication.
  • We take action whenever we can, and we discuss our discoveries when we review the plans for next year.
  • We manage benefits all year long, so CEOs don’t have to. YOU can focus on your business.
  • We assist clients and employees with questions/issues. Listen attentively. Engage. Discover common problems and make notes for renewal.
  • Throughout the year…did this work? Did that solve the problem? Could we have done this better, easier, faster, less expensive?
